L. A. Frazier, O.D.

Upon graduation from optometry school, Dr. Frazier returned to her hometown of La Porte to practice. Dr. Frazier holds undergraduate degrees from Baylor University and University of Houston. She graduated from University of Houston College of Optometry. She has expanded her licensing to include diagnostic and therapeutic certification, and later to include glaucoma specialist certification. We built our free standing building in 1995, allowing room for more diagnostic equipment, a larger dispensary and four examination rooms to provide better service for our patients.

Many things about the way Dr. Frazier practices have changed. We now use computer assisted examination lanes with electronic records, and prescribe digitally generated lenses. In spite of all the changes, the commitment to providing eye care experience that exceeds expectations has remained constant.

Dr. Frazier feels very fortunate to practice in La Porte. She and her husband, Dale, both graduated from La Porte High School in 1976, and were married in La Porte in 1987. They have one daughter, Stephanie, who graduated from Deer Park High School, and is completing her undergraduate education at Baylor University.

Jessica

Having just celebrated her 25th year with our office, Jessica, our office manager, is a very important part of our practice. Jessica is a certified optician. She attends regional and national meetings to make sure we offer our patients the latest and most up to date products and services.

Katie

Katie joined our practice in 2008, with experience in ophthalmology practices. Shortly after joining us, she became a licensed optician. In addition to helping patients with frame and lens selections, she oversees the on-site finishing lab, where glasses are made. Katie has been a very valuable addition to our office.

Angelica

Angelica welcomes patients from the waiting room, and begins the examination in the pre-screening room. She is very good at making patients feel comfortable and relaxed. Pre-screening equipment is on a rotating table, so patients can be seated comfortably, as each instrument is brought to them. Angelica is fluent in Spanish, and quite often assists the doctor in the examination room.
